Finally!
The Midwest has had a corner on ice & snow lately, thus forcing me to actually go to work everyday. Stupid global warming combined with El Nino has delivered temperatures well into the 70’s. In January.
Until today.
It’s a Sunday afternoon and it’s finally snowing.
Snow days are awesome. We have Sourbraten cooking slowly in the oven. I plan on baking a nice dense chocolate loaf with toffee sauce and later on this evening, My husband and I will make coffee with booze in it and settle in for some quality anime. Orrr…he’ll play World of Warcraft and I’ll blog. Either scenerio is fine with me, they are both nice. My child (yes. I have a kid.) has been doing the “snow dance” perpetually since 10am this morning. I suspect she will wear her PJ’s inside out tonight.
So, I’d like to give a nice thanks to our friends in the midwest. I still might have to trudge into work tomorrow, but you’ve successfully saved me from being productive today.
