Well, in fairness, he probably didn’t think much about it because no one told him about it because they don’t like it when the President cries.
And apparently I’m out of the loop - what march? Are we still talking about the million man march?

I still maintain that marching for a cause is like yelling at the wind (if you’ve ever put your cat outside on a windy day, you know what I’m saying) fir simply this reason. Politicians don’t take marches seriously. Marches aren’t real action. Oooh, you brought in millions of dollars into the city because you hate whatever. Oooh.
Marching hurts nobody, so nobody cares.
Tony Snow wasn’t being a dick, he was being honest. No one cares accept for the hotels and hot dog carts around the mall.
