Look at my Butt, PLEASE!
I hate—no no no….I DESPISE those shorts/pants with words plastered upon the butts. I hate then even more when they are marketed to pre teen girls. There is a no butt words rule in our home. She hates them anyway.
This AM, while I slipped out of bed a bit hungover, (the kid is spending time with G-ma) I heard that a school in Vermont had banned the butt word clothing.
Screw that!
PUT THEM ALL IN UNIFORMS!
So butt words are banned, but prostitot clothing surely isn’t. Citing the clothes are disruptive is silly when you have these girls wearing things that *I*, an adult, would never wear. Short Round attends a private school and wears a uniform. You know what? It’s AWESOME! we don’t have to spend ass tons of money just to make sure that she is fashionable. We don’t contend with the outrageous prices of crap that doesn’t last a month. It’s simple. No muss, no fuss.
Still, I can’t stand those damn butt word shorts marketed to pre teens anyway. They invite people to look at their asses. What sane parent would allow their daughter to wear anything that draws attention to their ass? I just don’t get it.

One of our local schools has gone as far as offering shorts (or sweats) with the high school school sports team name (or just the school name) plastered on the butts of stuff.
It makes me feel kinda dirty too because it’s definitely an eye catcher. My eyeballs get drawn to that kinda stuff and then my brain checks itself and goes.. ‘err.. woa.. knock it off.. jail bait’.
I think it’s less that such an item exists and more, as you said, that they market them to pre-teens. I’m not positive if I’ve ever seen adults wear stuff like that.. college kids maybe..
I’m all for uniforms though. No distractions there.

ahhahahahahhaha. I have often told myself that when I shop to get my Daughters uniform, I may pick one up for myself…tee hee.

I work on a college campus, and the college kids certainly do, and even some of the adult students, though not very many. I wouldn’t let my daughters wear that shit but they also hate them, so no worries.

I, too, hate those pants…and lucky for me, my daughter thinks they’re trashy, and my son is only 6 and wouldn’t wear anything written on his butt anyway. I love the fact that his school requires uniforms — it’s easy to get dressed in the morning, and there’s no fighting over what he’s going to wear. Navy blue or white polo and khakis. Period. Makes my mornings a lot easier!

Those shorts might as well be printed with the phrase, “LOOK AT MY ASS” on them. One of the worst words I have seen on those shorts is “JUICY”! WTF? When I think of a butt being juicy the only thing that comes to mind is diarrhea.
What surprises me is that companies aren’t (yet) using shorts like that for advertising of products.
