Satire!
This is exactly what the “PRESS” exist for. With so many “MEDIA” outlets reporting the “NEWS” this is a welcome relief of some real journalism. We have so embraced the “MEDIA” culture that we have lost the true meaning of the first amendment, freedom of the “PRESS” not the “MEDIA”. The New Yorker should be applauded for taking on the lies about Obama head on with a very thought provoking cover. The American people are stoopid, but let’s hope not that stoopid.
Oh I GOT it—it’s just that people in this country are STOOPID—and it’s those on the right side of the fence that draw upon these memes. However, what we see as SATIRE— the Faux News people see as a gift that has been handed to them wrapped up in a silver bow. They will take this misunderstanding of the cleverness and Rove it up into a talking point that will be used against the Obama Campaign.
I mean, these are the same people who took a decorated war hero and turned him into a liar with a few commercials….
